Beowulf

Noble Lord Hrothgar slept From feasting tired Soon sore bereft The monster stirred In darkness creeping The vile worm Skulked in shadows Cursed his birth Swift in night Over fastness and fell He spits upon life Swaddled in sin Sore in hunger And bitter offence Despiser of joy Deft in discordance Scarred by his strangenenss A scourge upon the earth Perverted shape of mortal man His nightly terror here began

Grendel 04:16
Then he found therein The band of chieftain Soundly slumbering They knew not sorrow The misery of man Nor the misfortune That soon would meet them Grim, savage, ravenous hate Crowned with clouds of rabid buzzing flies Grendel Swift he struck in darkness Death's shadow followed Great gushing frenzy of hot blood and red gore No hero's blade could harm him Black beast of night Creature of perdition Malevolent, violent monster

4.

about

All lyrics for the new album are a retelling of the legendary story of the same name, drawing upon a number of noteworthy translations and the alliterative style of the original Old English text for inspiration. Musically, the mini album is arguably the heaviest, most ferocious release from Beithíoch to date, giving nods throughout to classic old school death/black metal by the likes of Celtic Frost, Demoncy, Bathory, Cianide and more.
